Family Violence and Personal and Workplace Protection orders

The ACT Magistrates Court determines applications for Family Violence and Personal and Workplace Protection orders. Orders are made in accordance with the following legislation:

  • The Family Violence Act 2016 which allows for Family Violence Orders to be made; and
  • The Personal Violence Act 2016 which allows for Personal Protection Orders and Workplace Protection Orders to be made.
