What’s going on?
Please view our Notice on Road and parking closures for full details, including a map.
Knowles Place sewage works
Until mid December, sewage works will reduce Knowles Place to a single lane. The current car parking and set-down spaces at the front of the building will not be available, and traffic will be intermittently stopped to allow truck access. Traffic controllers will be in place.
As these works will increase congestion on Knowles Place, we recommend visitors enter the court precinct from Edinburgh Avenue and park in the Secure multi-story underground carpark at that end of Knowles Place.
No entry to cul de sac from Knowles Place
From late November 2025, the Knowles Place cul de sac will become one way from Vernon Circle to Knowles Place. There will be no entry to this road from Knowles Place.
Block 40 construction works
Block 40 comprises the former car park in front of the Magistrates Court and the vacant block between the courts building and Northbourne Avenue.
- The car park in front of the Magistrates Court is now closed. We recommend visitors enter the court precinct from Edinburgh Avenue and park in the Secure multi-story underground carpark at that end of Knowles Place.
- Permit parking for vulnerable witnesses will be available in the Knowles Place cul de sac throughout construction work.
London Circuit light rail works
London Circuit west between Northbourne Avenue and Edinburgh Avenue is now closed to regular traffic.
- Fencing has been installed in the area.
- Pedestrian and wheelchair access will be maintained along and across London Circuit.
For the latest construction updates refer to the Light Rail to Woden map of current road closures.
