Function of the Tribunal

The role of the Guardianship and Management of Property Tribunal is to provide legal authority in the form of guardianship and management orders, to family members or friends of adult persons who have impaired decision making ability so that the person’s affairs, personal or financial, may be conducted appropriately. The Tribunal is governed by the Guardianship and Management of Property Act 1991.
